Even a simple cup of hot cocoa can bring a family together and create lasting memories.
Creating and participating in traditions gives us the opportunity to grow closer as a family. It creates a feeling of comfort and belonging. When we are a part of something meaningful and significant it makes us feel accepted and loved. I love making traditions and memories for my grandchildren. One of my favorites is putting together a cup of hot cocoa for the children when they spend the night – which is often!

This perfect cup of cocoa was created when I wanted to give our grandchildren a comforting and healthier version of hot chocolate. Needless to say this is NOT Nestle Quick and is a recipe blended with pure, healthy, organic ingredients. There’s a reason it’s called “hot cocoa made with love,” because it’s a labor of love!
Hot Cocoa Made with Love
With the weather changing and holidays approaching, it’s a wonderful opportunity to give it a try and see what your children think. I hope my hot cocoa made with love recipe will be as popular in your home and help create lasting memories too!
- 1 heaping T organic, unsweetened cocoa
- Raw Unfiltered Honey
- 1 1/2 Cup Organic Milk (I prefer raw milk for the enzymes that haven’t been destroyed by pasteurization)
In a small saucepan place your cocoa off to one side inside the pan. Cover with honey, depending on how sweet you want it, and blend together to create a paste. Add a dash of milk to thin the paste before adding the remaining milk. Place the pan over medium heat and stir until well blended.
Serve warm with your favorite toppings. A dash of cinnamon would be divine. Or whipped cream & sprinkles would be a decadent treat.
Hope you enjoy!
